To the People of God,
I have a tiny book that I like to read every so often. It’s one of those tiny books that you would find at the checkout aisle in Barnes and Noble. It is called, “If You Want To Walk On Water, You've Got To Get Out Of The Boat” by John Ortberg. It tells the story of Peter wanting to walk on water toward Jesus but then loses courage once he gets going.
This title grabbed me because it is obviously about living faith on the edge. For much of my adult life, I have experienced situations where I have lived life by faith. I guess that the biggest concern is this: Can I live my life always living on the edge? Can I trust God to always provide? My answer to both those questions is a resounding “YES!” However, do I have enough personal courage to stay the course? What happens if doubt seeps in? What then? Fortunately, I have been to the edge many times, and I am today, more and more comfortable with living my life leaning deeply onto my faith.
I did a Google search for spiritual inspirational quotes and the following came up that might help you when you are on your spiritual journey’s edge:
Inner peace and self-reflection: “Finding peace within yourself is keeping to experiencing peace in the world around you.”
Positive action and change: “Being the change you want to see in the world through your actions and intentions.”
Trusting your intuition: “Listening to your inner voice and following what truly resonates with you.”
Overcoming Challenges: “Viewing Challenges as opportunities for growth and transformation.”
Embracing uncertainty: “Being at ease with not knowing” encourages accepting the unknown and trusting the process.”
Courage and taking risks: “You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore” speaks to the need for bravery to pursue your goals.”
Spreading kindness: “The easiest way to keep your spirits high is by spreading your kindness to others.”
